Focus on Living at the Next Level
The law of attraction does works. What you focus on you attract into your life.
Growing up I repeatedly said I would never marry a man named Bruce, who was shorter than me and had red hair. At the time, I did not know a person who had all these traits. I had a reason for each.
Bet you never would have guessed who my first husband of 25 years was? Yep, Bruce with red hair and shorter than me. My autobiography of stepping out of an abusive marriage is found in Live the Life You Choose. Reach out to me for a free copy. You pay the shipping of $7.95.
Today, take your thoughts captive and keep your FOCUS on WHAT YOU WANT.
8 Mindful Ways to Increase Your Focus
- Start with a Priority-Driven Planner. Have a daily planner open on your desk and record what you are doing in half-hour increments. Free To Spend’s Priority-Driven Planner will be available soon.
- Do Thing One and Thing Two. Dedicate the first 90 minutes of each day to the one task that will make life easier. After a 20-minute break, follow Thing One by Thing Two
- Task Time Triple. Triple the time you think it will take to do a task
- Murder Multitasking on Priority Projects. Save multitasking for when duties or chores do not need your full attention
- No Notifications. Turn off notifications and put your phone on airplane mode
- Effortless Email. Execute email during work start up and shut down routines, unless you are in customer service.
- Drawer Devises. Put your phone, laptop, and ipad in a drawer – seeing them robs focus
- Brain Bog. When you find yourself getting stuck or going down a rabbit trail or your mind wandering away – stop. Count out loud “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” as you attack the air with your hands. Do a two clap. Clap. Clap. Chant, “Back to my priority.” And start again.

Focus’ Next Level Challenge
The priority-driven life is about focusing on what matters most to you. Allow all other things to fall where they may.
- Family time. Grab a bowl of popcorn, light a few candles, and sit in a circle on the floor as you would at a campfire. Discuss as a family, what are some things that have stolen your focus away from what matters most. Talk about your life, marriage or relationship, wealth, and faith. Then discuss what you will do to re-direct your focus.
- Life Guide time. Think about how seeing your life in front of you creates focus. If you have not yet experienced Free To Spend’s Property-Driven Tool Kit with the Life Guide click here and get started.

The Foundation of My Truth is the Bible. A verse on Focus is I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. –2 Timothy 4:7. This verse tells me to stay focused so that I will be able to say, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. I believe God gave you the skills you need to be successful at the task He calls you to.
