The Backbone of Success is HONESTY

How to be Honest

Being honest assumes you have worked on ways to raise your own level of honesty. Likewise, you have developed enough self-esteem to tolerate the truth. And are willing to change, upon acknowledging a different reality.

It would be a whole lot easier to embrace honesty if it didn’t require so much truth. Not to mention our mutual friends Pride, Ego, and Low Self-Esteem would have to leave. I find when I tire of their company, I ask them to leave and lock the door behind them.

I highly value honesty. I was once in a relationship where truth was kept from me. It wasn’t the truth that destroyed the relationship, it was the secrets.

BE HONEST

There have been times in my life I have not been honest with others or myself.

There have been times when being honest hurt me.

There have been times when being truthful cost me.

I still choose to live an honest, open, and authentic life.

Saying what I mean and meaning what I say.

Honesty’s Next Level Challenge

Being honest is about making right what is behind you and moving on looking forward to each new day.

  • Discuss ways you have been dishonest and what you are doing about it.
  • If you are using the Life Guide – look again at only the balance line to the far right. Recall the stress from not seeing the truth of what your balance actually represented. This was your money being dishonest with you and hiding the truth.

The foundation of my truth is the Bible, here is a verse I found on Honesty. He who gives a right answer kisses the lips. Proverbs 24:26 NKJV

This verse tells me you would prefer a kiss over a slug to the stomach. Oh my.
